The Red Shoe Appeal

 Ballet Theatre UK is the new face of British ballet, providing classical productions to audiences through out the UK. As a company we receive no government funding or arts council support, but survive solely on income from ticket sales and our loyal following.

This year we are thrilled to announce the launch of our ‘Red Shoe Appeal’. An appeal to help provide pointe shoes for our female dancers in the company. From a distance, all shoes look alike, but up close each shoe is uniquely designed, tailor made for each dancer. During a tour each dancer can work their way through at least 40 pairs of shoes, depending on which roles they are performing, sometimes alternating between several pairs of shoes within a single performance.
